Spatial Reasoning
Our program teaches spatial skills: the greatest predictor of whether a student will enter a STEM profession (Science, Technlology, Engineering, Mathematics).
Mathematics Growth
Substantial, measurable improvement in numeracy, with outcomes validated through NAPLAN results. Covers the space, measurement and algebra curriculum strands.
STEM Foundations
Students learn about STEM practitioners by undertaking integrated units that draw on spatial skills developed in the program, and applying them within real-world contexts.

Program Features
The Spatial Maths Program includes digital games and challenges, lesson plans, an LMS and many other resources.
Digtal Games and Challenges
Our program features online digital games and challenges for students from Foundation to Year 6.
These interactive challenges develop spatial reasoning skills that improve numeracy and STEM outcomes, and also reinforce learning in classroom-based activities.
Each year level targets a specific spatial skill.
Comprehensive Lesson Plans
Our comprehensive lesson plans have been created by world-leading mathematics and STEM eudcation researchers Professor Tom Lowrie and Professor Kevin Larkin.
These teacher-friendly lesson plans are structured around our ELPSA Learning Framework (Experience, Language, Pictorial, Symbolic, Application).
Teachers are provided with one mathematics lesson plan per week as well as STEM lesson plans for Term 4.
LMS for Teachers
Our online learning management system (LMS) provides easy program management for teachers.
Teachers can create classes and student profiles, access our lesson plans and classroom activities, as well as our digital games and challenges for students.
The LMS also includes links to professional learning resources and our help desk.
Student Data
Teachers have easy access to student progress data and achievements via our LMS dashboard.
Our ‘Students’ tab shows how far each child has progressed with each of our digital games and challenges with a percentage indicator.
And our ‘Reports’ tab displays student skill development in the form of ‘I Can’ statements. Teachers can export this data to use in reports.
Professional Learning Videos
Our program includes valuable video resources for teachers, including ‘How To’ videos to help you get up and running, as well as professional learning (PL) videos.
PL videos cover topics such as STEM Practices, the ERA (Experience, Represent, Apply) and ELPSA (Experience, Language, Pictorial, Symbolic, Application) learning frameworks, as well as spatial and logical reasoning.
Help Desk
We provide a help desk service for teachers participating in our program.
Whether you have a general enquiry about the program, a pedagogy question, or a technical issue that requires IT troubleshooting, our team is available to help you.
